As autumn approaches, the streets of Taipei are graced with a beautiful pink romance as the warm-toned pink Silk Floss Trees bloom in full splendor. These trees first bloomed in early October in front of the Shilin Residence Park, and by early November, they are expected to blossom along several popular check-in spots, including the foot of the bike path near Hulu Elementary School, Qiyan No. 1 Park on Beitou Huanggang Road, and Muzha Road in Wenshan District.
The Silk Floss Tree, belonging to the Malvaceae family, has a unique stamen structure resembling a hibiscus, with a graceful tree shape that makes it look like a beautiful lady. Its green leaves and pink flowers complement each other, creating a picturesque scene that attracts visitors and locals alike. The full bloom period usually starts in September, attracting bees and butterflies, making it an essential nectar source for these insects during the autumn and winter.
Currently, the trees along Shilin Residence Park have reached full bloom, and locations such as Citizen Boulevard, Tianshizi Green Space, and Linsen Park are also adorned with beautiful blossoms. As November approaches, more Silk Floss Trees along the bike path near Hulu Elementary, Qiyan No. 1 Park, and Muzha Road will continue to bloom, adding a romantic vibe to Taipei’s streets. The trees along Tianshizi Green Space and Dadu Road Section 3 are perfect for photo-taking, while the trees on Citizen Boulevard bring a touch of serenity to the bustling city life. In addition, the beauty tree in the middle section of Beitou’s Tian Xin Tsai Green Space allows tourists to enjoy the magnificent autumn colors while riding bicycles; and the beauty tree along Section 3 of Dadu Road is also very suitable for taking photos. The beauty trees on Citizen Avenue bring extraordinary color to the constant flow of traffic, adding a touch of softness and beauty to busy urban life.
