Taipei City Government begins easing its Covid restrictions from 15 February. Eating and drinking are allowed again in cinemas, and junior & senior high schools can resume their graduation trips. However, learning activities in other counties and cities are still suspended for students of kindergartens and elementary schools as they are not fully vaccinated.

Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je (柯文哲) stated that there has been no COVID-19 case of unclear origins in Taipei City and therefore certain epidemic prevention measures have been lifted gradually. For instance, the “elders having meals together” will resume step by step.
