Enhancing self-protection awareness, National Immigration Agency held a campaign on preventing child sexual exploitation
According to statistics from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the number of reported cases of child sexual exploitation in Taiwan has been increasing annually. Recently, a well-known celebrity's involvement in a child sexual exploitation case has drawn widespread public attention. To raise self-protection awareness among parents and children, the Hsinchu City Service Station of the National Immigration Agency launched a family education and legal awareness campaign focused on preventing child sexual exploitation. They urge parents and children to adhere to the "Three Don'ts and One Do" principle: don't take selfies, don't send, don't possess. If one encounters such situations, one should "take a screenshot as evidence and seek help," by calling the 113 hotlines or reporting to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention Center.

High returns come with high risks—exercise caution in investment to prevent fraud
Recently, numerous investment methods claiming "guaranteed profits" have surfaced, utilizing investment groups to share "techniques" and display false investment returns, luring investors to commit funds. When attempting to withdraw "profits," scammers delay by requesting tax payments or security deposits, and ultimately, victims realize it's a scam, with their funds long gone. To prevent such scams, the police have established the 165 anti-fraud hotline, and weekly publish lists of fraudulent investment websites. Investors must carefully choose their investment channels and remember "high returns mean high risks," remaining vigilant to avoid falling into scam traps.
The first case of severe enterovirus was reported in Taipei
The Taipei City Department of Health recently announced the first severe enterovirus case of the year. It reminded the public that children under five are at high risk for severe enterovirus infections, which can progress rapidly. If young children exhibit symptoms such as drowsiness, confusion, lethargy, weakness in limbs, muscle twitching, persistent vomiting, rapid breathing, or accelerated heartbeat, they should be taken to the hospital immediately. The public is also reminded to maintain good hygiene habits, with both adults and children washing hands frequently with soap, and to keep their homes clean and well-ventilated to prevent the spread of infections.
