For new immigrants from Southeast Asia, the Miaoli County Government has established the "Miaoli County Interpreter Training Program for New Immigrants". The new immigrants are encouraged use their language skills to enhance the number of qualified translators in the judicial, labor, mental health, and other domains through professional training courses. The New Immigrant Family Service Center will host a course in May 2023 on the rights and interests of new immigrants. The registration training is open to new mmigrant with knowledge of Chinese and basic document processing ability.

In addition to passing the basic Chinese language test, applicants must also be well-equipped the language proficiency of their original country as well as the fundamental administrative and document processing abilities. Students can take the test after 24 hours of instruction by enhancing the abilities and professional knowledge of the tutoring interpreters. The certificate is available to exam takers.

New immigrants who become professionals can participate in counseling and interpreting work, assist other new immigrants in filling out, proofreading documents, family phone calls, and legal consultation services, so that new immigrants can understand Taiwan's laws and regulations, as well as corresponding benefits and resources, creating a friendly multicultural environment.
