Korean Priest Awarded with Permanent Residency of Mackay Project for His 34 Years of Devotion to Taiwan

Kim Ki Moon, who is from Korea and has been devoting to Taiwan for 34 years, has been reviewed by the Ministry of Health and Welfare to meet the requirements of the Mackay Project. the NIA Mobile-Service Train of the First Service Station in Kaohsiung visited the Asia Vision Church Presbyterian Church and awarded Priest Kim with an Alien Permanent Resident Certificate to laud for his long-term contribution to Taiwan in the field of religion.

 

Priest Kim came to Taiwan in 1985 for preaching and participated in the pioneering work of the Asia Vision Church Presbyterian Church. He also learned Taiwanese and Taiwanese culture and customs and has devoted to taking care of poor families and young people. In 2002, he established the Center for the Study of Religion at the Holy Light Theological Seminary and opened missionary courses to cultivate missionary talents and promote overseas missionary work. During the missionary work in Taiwan, his three daughters were born one after another. He states that he has experienced many difficulties during the process of missionary work. He has overcome them one by one with his strong faith and hopes to lead everyone into a better life through caring for the disadvantaged and the service of the mission.

 

Priest Kim states that he is very grateful for obtaining the "Alien Permanent Resident Certificate of Mackay Project" that made him understand the friendliness of Taiwanese and the government's care when he knew that he can enjoy the benefits of using national public transportation and long-term care services just like the senior in Taiwan.

 

Mackay Project is that the government remembers with gratitude Dr. Mackay's devotion to establishing hospitals and schools and helping the poor. For foreigners who have contributed selflessly to Taiwan for long, the government will provide several benefits, such as the long-term national transportation service and long-term care following the current welfare of the elderly, and looks forward to giving friendly and respectful feedback to those who have been selflessly contributing to Taiwan.
