The most recent global labor data were just issued by the Ministry of Labor. Taiwan ranked sixth out of 39 nations with statistics, with an average yearly total working hour of 2,008 hours, a modest increase of 8 hours from 2021.
According to the Ministry of Labor, Taiwan has a comparatively low working-to-employee ratio—just 3.5%—compared to other major nations. The comparatively high average yearly working hours are the result of this.

Based on statistical data, Colombia has the highest average yearly total working hours (2,381 hours) among 39 major nations worldwide, followed by Mexico (2,335 hours), Singapore (2,293 hours). With 2,242 hours and 2,026 hours, respectively, Costa Rica and Chile are ranked fourth and fifth. South Korea has 1,904 hours, whereas Japan has 1,626 hours in comparison to other Asian nations. Among Asian nations, the only two that place in the top 10 for total working hours are Taiwan and Singapore.
