Taichung's Shuinan Central Park Welcomes a Giant Five-Colored Bird, Standing 5 Meters Tall and 8 Meters Long

The public art piece "Green Shade, Youthful Vitality," created by artist Wu Jianfu, has become a new highlight for people to stroll and relax. This artwork is primarily made from stainless steel and mosaic, with a transparent metal frame allowing sunlight and wind to pass through freely, creating unique light and shadow effects.

Wu Jianfu explained that he chose the five-colored bird, an endemic species of Taiwan, as his inspiration because its distinctive call can attract everyone's attention. This piece aims to demonstrate the symbiotic relationship between art and the environment. As night falls, warm yellow lights will envelop the artwork in a cozy atmosphere, offering a completely different visual experience from daytime and bringing a fresh sense of novelty. When night comes, the warm yellow light will cast a warm atmosphere on the work, presenting a completely different visual experience from that during the day. Promoting an Aesthetic City: Experience the Charm of Art

This artwork not only has aesthetic value but also provides a place for rest. People can enter the piece to admire the green feathers decorated with handcrafted glass and sit on three egg-shaped chairs inlaid around it, enjoying the cool breeze and the magical changes of light and shadow. This interactive design helps make public art a part of people's daily lives.

The Taichung City Cultural Affairs Bureau stated that the city government is actively promoting the construction of an aesthetic city. Fourteen public art pieces have been completed in the Shuinan Economic and Trade Park, and in the future, AR virtual reality public art will be introduced, allowing more people to experience the charm of art here.
