While under the nationwide level 2 alert, the New Taipei City (NTPC) Government is slowly adjusting its policies. The Education Department, NTPC announced that they will allow summer activities and sports team training for levels below high school starting August 10. Schools must follow relevant epidemic prevention measures and other guidelines under the Ministry of Education (MOE).

The Education Department, NTPC will open these activities with the implementation of "Guidelines for handling summer activities during the COVID-19 Pandemic in 2021 for levels below senior and secondary schools". Activities will include, summer learning camps for middle, primary, and senior high school students, and other skill-cultivating activities in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor (MOL).

Epidemic prevention measures include arranged seats with limited persons in one room, and all activities will be held in half a day. Masks must be worn all throughout the activities, and regular disinfection and temperature checking.

Furthermore, teachers and counselors who are fully vaccinated for 14 days will be given priority in handling activities. Those who are not fully vaccinated or have been vaccinated for less than 14 days must undergo screening and have a negative PCR test before beginning any activities. If any persons are diagnosed, New Taipei City instructed to stop all summer activities immediately and disinfect venues for at least 3 days, and observe the situation before proceeding with the activities.
