New Taipei Municipal Agricultural Bureau has coached the Tamsui District Farmer’s Association to launch a leisurely agricultural experience tour of “the youth of mountain and sea line, Tamsui good activity”, led the people to visit the local organic leisure farm, Jimmy Park, and the “Rainbow Pumpkin Tunnel” in short time in the early summer. One of the favourite photo secrets for Tamsui people is the pumpkin tunnel that located in the mountainous area in Tamsui. This year, the pumpkin tunnel will be open to the public for free before the end of May, invite you to go to Tamsui and playing around!
The Director General of Tamsui District Farmer’s Association, Gao Zhong (高忠) pointed out that the pumpkin tunnel, which has cultivated by the Tamsui Farmer’s Association has been going on for six years. This year, the scale of the tunnel specially expanded, the height increased by 1,5 meters. There are also some tables and chairs in the tunnels that provide a place to rest. The visitors can stand in the about 200 meters length of pumpkin tunnel to feel the cool breeze, the greenery, and coziness. Walking in the pumpkin tunnel is like walking into the pumpkin exhibition, with the orange yellow, dark green, gray green colors, with the different types of pumpkins, let all the friends see it once for all.
The Agriculture Bureau said that a wonderful agricultural experience tour must be visited during this season, the experience to pick up the vegetables and fruits to feel the freshness in the table also included. DIY course, choose your own pumpkin glutinous rice, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pudding, and others pumpkin-related experience activities.
