Internet celebrity Alizabeth has studied in Taiwan and gained popularity through witty and entertaining videos. On March 31, he shared a post showing that he obtained the “R.O.C. (Taiwan) Employment Gold Card”. “I will stay in Taiwan forever,” he said happily.

Alizabeth has been residing in Taiwan for about six years since 2016. At first, he only planned to come here to study the Chinese language. Studied in the Department of Mass Communication of the National Taiwan Normal University, he started his career as a YouTuber and has gained much supports from netizens.

He revealed that he did not go back to Thailand due to the global pandemic outbreak. Instead, he followed the advice of a university professor and started filming during his free time. Unexpectedly, the videos went viral on the Internet.

However, he also admitted that he was quite nervous about applying for the gold card. “The application process is quite long, and I have heard that the application requirements are very high,” he said.

The “R.O.C. (Taiwan) Employment Gold Card” was introduced on February 8, 2018. It is a card that combines “work permit”, “ROC (Taiwan) Resident Certificate”, “Alien Residence Certificate” and “Re-entry Permit”. The card provides qualified foreigners with the convenience to search for jobs and change jobs during the valid period.

After successfully getting the employment gold card, Alizabeth felt relieved and happily took a photo at the immigration office.
