New Immigrant Family Faces Misfortune; National Immigration Agency and Charity Foundation Lend a Helping Hand
A new immigrant family in Xiushui Township has experienced a series of unfortunate events. It began when Ms. Wen, a new immigrant, was seriously injured in a car accident, followed by her elementary school daughter breaking her arm after a fall. Then, her husband also suffered a work injury, dislocating his nose. These consecutive accidents plunged the already struggling family into crisis. Upon learning of their situation, the Changhua County Service Station of the National Immigration Agency and the Chang Yung-Fa Foundation quickly launched a care action and provided NT$30,000 in medical aid to help the family through this difficult time. This cooperation between the National Immigration Agency and the Chang Yung-Fa Foundation demonstrates the care and warmth of society, encouraging more people to pay attention to the needs of new immigrant families.
Tsumabuki Satoshi Takes You on a Deep Dive into Taiwan
To attract more Japanese tourists, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau has invited Japanese actor Tsumabuki Satoshi to serve as this year’s tourism ambassador to Japan. Through his personal experiences, the Bureau hopes to convey the unique charm of Taiwan to the Japanese public. The six-day, five-night commercial shoot included Tsumabuki tasting various classic Taiwanese dishes, picking and making tea at the Alishan Tea Garden, and being captivated by the scenic beauty of Sun Moon Lake. He even sailed on the lake, experiencing the pure beauty of nature. This new commercial will debut in Japan in November, and the Tourism Bureau plans to launch a variety of in-person events to encourage more Japanese citizens to visit Taiwan and experience its warmth and charm firsthand.

Essential Signs and Prevention Measures for Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease
As the school year begins, the hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) outbreak continues to escalate. Pediatricians urge parents to seek medical attention immediately if young children develop symptoms such as fever, throat ulcers, or blisters on their hands, feet, and buttocks. While most patients recover on their own within 4 to 14 days, a small number, especially children under five, may develop serious complications like encephalitis or acute limb paralysis, which can be life-threatening. The most important preventive measures for HFMD include practicing good hygiene, washing hands frequently, wearing masks, avoiding crowded places, and regularly disinfecting environments. Parents with young children should also arrange for them to receive the HFMD vaccine to protect their health.
