The Keelung National Museum of Marine Science & Technology is the site of a five-day multicultural regional revitalization training camp for children of new immigrants, which launched by the National Immigration Agency on July 24th. With "Regional Revitalization" as the overarching theme, all trainees are encouraged to broaden their perspectives on the world by engaging in cross-field cultural exchanges and fusing Taiwan's distinctive local features.

The New Residents Development Fund continues to provide funding for the "NIA Multicultural Regional Revitalization Cultivation Camp for Children of New Immigrants" this year. 55 students in all took part in the program, 35 of them had mothers or dads from Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, or other countries. This camp course carefully developed a variety of multidisciplinary cultural courses and organized field trips to Keelung City's successful regional revitalization projects. The trainees conducted in-depth local creation courses using their own ethnic backgrounds and local organizations, and then presented the outcomes in the results presentation.

The Deputy Director (陳建成) of National Immigration Agency hopes that the trainees will take advantage of this chance to gain knowledge in a variety of professional fields, incorporate their own multicultural advantages into the learning outcomes, put the idea of regional revitalization into practice, and improve interactions with one another.
