To open the Indonesian food market, TAITRA on July 24 led the delegation to the Jakarta International Convention and Exhibition Center, Indonesia. They participated in the “2019 Food and Hotel Indonesia Exhibition” on behalf the Taiwan Pavilion for 4 days. It took a 117 meter square exhibition. There were some Taiwan halal products that certified by Indonesia MUI and Taiwan Halal Integrity Development Association (THIDA), improve the exposure of Taiwan’s halal products.
More than half of the 8 manufacturers that participated in this exhibition have halal certification. Taiwan’s pearl milk tea that is world-famous has the highest inquiries at the Taiwan Pavilion. Previously, before got the halal certification from THIDA, the inquiries of “High Tea” brand from Pei Chen Corp had a constant flow, but after that the atmosphere of the cooperation is warm.
The2019 Food and Hotel Indonesia Exhibition is the most professional and international food exhibition in Indonesia, which held every two years.
The Taiwan Pavilion was certified halal by Indonesia MUI, at the same time it is also widely accepted by many international chain food manufacturers. Flavour World, the main high temperature resistance, dairy flavor, tasty taste, salty food, tea, and spices were exhibited.
The exhibitors were from 41 countries such as the United States, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, etc, about 948 exhibitors exhibited the food, beverages, coffee, tea, alcoholic products, meat, seafood, hotel, catering equipments, food machinery and other products, with the scale about 35.000 square meter exhibition in total.
According to the statistics, in 2018, Taiwan’s main agricultural food products that were exported to Indonesia were amounted about $ 741,44 million USD, the 14th largest export. The main export products included fresh squid, fresh garlic, frozen swordfish, cocoa powder, cassava and potato flour, fully fermented or partially fermented tea, modulated octopus, orchid (phalaenopsis), pasta, and cereals.
