The Zhuxian Second Sports Field Soccer Field is about to undergo a comprehensive upgrade to become a safer and more comfortable sports venue. In preparation for the 2025 World Masters Games, the county government has invested 63,333,334 NTD for a complete renovation, set to begin in September this year and expected to be completed by the end of March next year.

The upgrade plan covers multiple basic facilities of the soccer field. Due to long-term exposure to wind and rain, the artificial turf has developed cracks and damages, leading to uneven particles and an irregular track edge, compromising sports safety. Additionally, most of the existing 320 metal lights are damaged, resulting in insufficient lighting and glare issues, causing inconvenience and danger to athletes and the public.Considering the aging condition of the field, funds were secured from the central government to renovate the artificial turf and improve the lighting. The renovation includes laying FIFA-certified artificial turf and installing new LED modular lighting fixtures with an intelligent dimming control system. This will not only effectively improve the field's drainage and shock absorption but also significantly enhance the lighting, providing better training conditions for athletes and a better viewing experience for spectators.

Since the 2017 Taipei Universiade, the Zhuxian Second Sports Field has become a major venue for various international and national competitions, such as the AFC U19 Championship qualifiers and the Taiwan Enterprise Football League. The field has also been a hotspot for football clubs from schools at all levels in Hsinchu County and local football clubs, providing a good sports environment for local football enthusiasts and serving as an important sports training base.

The County Education Bureau emphasized that the funding for this improvement project mainly comes from a 38 million NTD subsidy from the Ministry of Education's Sports Administration and over 25 million NTD raised by the county government itself, demonstrating the county government's commitment to sports facilities. With the completion of this upgrade project, the Zhuxian Second Sports Field will offer a higher quality sports venue, aiming to cultivate more outstanding football talents and fully prepare for the upcoming 2025 World Masters Games.
