To help migrant workers receive the latest official coronavirus updates, the Ministry of Labor (MOL) released a “Line@E-Line” service this May. MOL encourages migrant workers to use the Line App, and follow the coronavirus prevention measures.

To further improve the service, the “Line@E-Line” service has been updated since December 10. Migrant workers can bind their personal data (Passport No., Residence No., Name, Date of Birth, and Mobile Phone No.) with “Line@E-Line” within a minute, and the system will actively send recommended information to them, allowing them to receive the latest announcements and make preparations early.

Besides, there will be an additional feature that sends personalized notifications in 2022. Reminders include the issuance of employment permits, revocation of employment permits, and employers reporting migrant workers’ unknown whereabouts. Therefore, migrant workers would be able to avoid job rights issues arising from missing employment or revocation documents. Furthermore, there are also plans to provide reminders of the expiration of residence permits, health checks, etc. “Line@E-Line” personalized binding information can be found on “Transnational Labor Rights Protection Portal”.
