The Taichung City Government announced that the Wenxin Forest Park vaccination station, which is located on Wenxin Road in Nantun District, will reopen on Saturdays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and on Sundays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., will offer influenza, pneumococcal, monkeypox, and COVID-19 vaccines. This will make it easier for citizens to receive publicly funded vaccines. Individuals do not need to schedule an appointment in order to receive vaccinations.

The Health Bureau announced that seniors over 65 who receive any dosage of influenza, COVID-19 vaccination, or pneumococcal vaccine would receive 10 doses of COVID-19 fast screening reagents, up to a maximum of 30 doses per person, as a means of encouraging individuals to be vaccinated. Following COVID-19 immunization, recipients will get a NT$500 gift voucher. Those who qualify for public-funded vaccination are encouraged to take this opportunity.

Furthermore, from November 20 to November 25, the Health Bureau will provide a publicly financed weekly influenza vaccination program for young children. During the event, 30 Taichung City health clinics will provide publicly funded vaccinations to children older than six months but not yet enrolled in primary school. There is a cap on the rewards one may receive if one receives the flu shot. One can contact any health facility or visit the website of the Health Bureau for pertinent information.
