[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] In addition to the Chinese New Year, some workers have to deal with a large number of product reservations, Spring Festival dinners or festive travel activities. The retail, transportation, accommodation, and catering industries are particularly busy; after the Chinese New Year, workers will return to work, and there may be operations with unfamiliar skills and re-adaptation to the working environment, how to grasp the situation of occupational disasters and avoid occupational disasters caused by busyness around the Chinese New Year is an issue worthy of attention.

Major occupational accidents happened before the Spring Festival and after the start of work. According to the statistics of the Labor Safety Institute, the top eight types of disasters are "falling, rolling, get caught in machines, objects collapsing, flying objects, electric shocks", etc. Obviously, during the Spring Festival, before and after the festive season, workplace safety precautions should not be overlooked.

In addition to the Ministry of Labor’s launch of the “111 Spring Safety Period Strengthening Labor Inspection Implementation Plan” last year, the Labor Safety Office reminds workers that the festive atmosphere of the New Year’s Eve can make people relax. In order to welcome the new year, all business units must implement independent safety protection inspections; workers in the wholesale and retail industry, transportation and warehousing industry, and accommodation and catering industries must also pay attention to traffic safety, kitchen machine operation safety, and electricity safety; holidays are coming soon. At the end of the day, laborers should clean up their vacation mood and prepare for work. Public institutions should actively implement safety management to avoid accidents.
