The Kaohsiung Municipal Social Education Center has specifically established the Southeast Asia Film Festival with the goal of promoting multiculturalism and improving public knowledge of the societies and cultures of Southeast Asian nations. It will start showing movies from October 15 and include ones from Indonesia, Singapore, India, and Cambodia.

Four films will be screened at this event in turn: "Mukti Bhawan" from India, "Young & Fabulous" from Singapore, "White Building" from Cambodia, and "Yuni" from Indonesia. Following the film, there will be a unique cuisine experience.

The three film festival events will include post-screening discussion and sharing sessions in addition to the initial film festival. To enhance the cultural richness of the film festival, professors from National Kaohsiung Normal University, associate professors from Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages, and representatives of new immigrants from other nations will be asked to interact and converse based on the film's topic.
