As summer arrives, Taitung tourism offers even more great deals! This summer, the Huadong area is bustling with exciting activities, including the East Coast Land Art Festival, the Moonlight Sea Concerts, the Hot Air Balloon Carnival, the Valley Indigenous Festival, and the Daylily Season. Travelers can take advantage of free shuttle services, along with various discounts like the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Free Rides, 80% off Taiwan Tour Bus, East Coast Rideshare, Taiwan Pass Revitalization Packages, and Huadong Accommodation Subsidies to make their trips more affordable and convenient.
The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration (referred to as the East Management Office) has partnered with car rental companies to launch the "Local Shuttle" free service. This initiative allows travelers to travel directly from transport hubs to remote accommodations, providing a convenient and cost-effective travel experience. This summer, the service range has been expanded to cover popular scenic spots such as Luye and Zhiben, with about 60 operators participating.

Travelers staying at participating accommodations can book the free shuttle service, making it easy to travel between their lodging and transportation hubs. This service covers areas such as Changbin, Chenggong, Nanheng, Taimali, and Green Island, and now includes new spots like Luye and Zhiben. Shuttle points include Yuli Train Station, Chishang Train Station, Guanshan Train Station, Luye Train Station, Zhiben Train Station, Taimali Train Station, and Nanliao Fishing Port on Green Island, ensuring travelers need not worry about transportation issues.
With this free shuttle service, many accommodation providers report increased convenience for travelers, reducing the hassle of arranging transportation. Travelers can book the shuttle when making their reservations, greatly enhancing public transport services and promoting the domestic tourism industry.
The "Local Shuttle-Free Accommodation Shuttle" service will continue until August next year. Travelers can find the latest free shuttle information and a list of participating accommodations on the East Management Office's "Huadong Tourism Circle" information platform, the Tourism Bureau's Taiwan Lodging Network, and the websites of cooperating accommodation providers for real-time detailed information.
