Under the impact of the epidemic, learning how to sell online and how to operate an online auction business, has become another choice for career development of new immigrants. Sanchong Family Service Center for New Immigrants (三重新住民家庭服務中心) specially conducted a series of diversified programs for new immigrants who want to start businesses from scratch. The programs allow new immigrants to show their talents, and through activities, exchanges and sharing, enhance mutual understanding between new immigrants and the community. The service center encourages new immigrants who want to engage in online auctions and new immigrants who just arrived in Taiwan to learn to adapt to life in Taiwan.

Pan Hsi-Ling (潘喜玲) from Cambodia led the new immigrants to bravely face the Internet market together. Pan Hsi-Ling is a mother of three children and a volunteer interpreter at the Sanchong Family Service Center for New Immigrants. She is also the host of online live broadcasts and has an online auction business. A total of 17 people participated in these diversified lectures, including new immigrants from Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Myanmar, Cambodia, and local Taiwanese. Some new immigrants who have been in Taiwan for less than a year wanted to listen to the experiences of living and developing in Taiwan. Taiwanese who accompanied their new immigrant wives to participate in the activities, were also curious about Pan Hsi-Ling’s story and wanted to get to know the other people in the new immigrants’ community.

At the beginning of the event, Pan Hsi-Ling explained to everyone about Cambodia's geographical location and environment. Apart from introducing Cambodia to everyone, she also shared the journey from her transnational marriage to becoming a mother of three children. Pan Hsi-Ling mentioned the reasons for starting her online auction business, which were mainly to gain a sense of economic security, increase sources of family income, and pursue self-affirmation and recognition. She started with customer source management, import and export planning, and then how to face and solve difficulties, which was part of her journey. Even if the road was not completely smooth, but with effort and persistence, she now has many fans that give her the energy to stand up and share her experience in pursuit of her dreams.

Noriko Nagayo (永冶典子) from Japan said that she has been in Taiwan for more than 20 years and listened to Hsi Ling's story which evoked precious memories of her parenting period. She used to be busy taking care of her children. Now if she has the opportunity, she also wants to try to have a job she loves. Liang Shi Yu Tien (梁氏玉添) from Vietnam, said that she just arrived in Taiwan, and after listening to Hsi Ling's experience, she found Hsi-Ling amazing and admired her, which also brought courage and inspiration for her future. The spouse who accompanied his new immigrant wife, Nguyen Thi An (阮氏杏) to the event, said that she is another new good daughter-in-law in Taiwan. She was brave and amazing in everything. She came from Vietnam alone and her family was very far away, and she had to learn and to adapt. They had to go through the process, which was long and difficult, but it helped them understand and cherish each other more.
