The Ministry of the Interior (MOI, 內政部) urged local governments across Taiwan to offer immigrants financial support in accordance with the New Immigrants Development Fund (NIDF, 新住民發展基金) since the local outbreak of COVID-19.

Non-R.O.C. nationals without ARC are eligible for COVID relief in line with the Pre-established Residency Immigrants Supportive Measures (設籍前新住民遭逢特殊境遇相關福利及扶助計畫). Recipients can have a subsidy covering at most three months of the cost of living.
