NIA Pingtung County Service Center Invites Egyptian Wife to Teach Yoga

The Pingtung County Service Station of the National Immigration Agency held a "Family Education for New Residents" course and invited Egyptian wife Zhao Xin-Ying to teach yoga to relieve the physical, mental and spiritual pressure of new residents. In addition, the course also specially plans on Christmas backpack DIY, so that the new residents' friends and family can spice up the atmosphere of upcoming Christmas.

Yoga lecturer Zhao Xin-Ying’s husband is He Mu, an Egyptian new resident. He Mu, who grew up in a dancing family, he became a member of the National Dance Troupe of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture because of his superb dancing skills. They knew each other and fell in love because of a dance competition in Malaysia. Afterwards, they settled in Chaozhou, Pingtung. The "Middle East Traditional Folk Dance Troupe" created by them once represented Taiwan to to participate in the world traditional folk competition in India, and won the third place in the world.

Zhao Xin-Ying indicated that Middle Eastern dance emphasize great importance to the strength of the lower body, so the stability of the pelvis is very important. Through yoga exercises, the pelvis can be straightened and make the muscles flexible, making the rhythm of the dance smoother and more harmonious. As the pelvis is straight, then the body is straight which avoid people from pain.

Besides, yoga means "stability, balance, and harmony" in Sanskrit. Through yoga and combine with breathing and meditation, it can calm the mind and stabilize emotions. When the negative emotions are less and less, the more you can tolerate each other with a soften body, and the couple get along with each other with more harmonies. The yoga class has won the affirmation of the new resident students.
