The AI wave has surged in recent years, bringing with it claims that it could replace human labor. Have you ever thought that in the future, cooking, cleaning at home, or organizing and transporting goods in factories might no longer be done by humans, but by robots? The future of coexisting with robots, once considered a distant dream over the past few decades, is now becoming reality. Just how vast is the market behind these robots? Let’s take a closer look.Classic Sci-Fi Film "Bicentennial Man" (Image/Wikipedia, provided by Tokoh Living)

Entering Households: Comprehensive Household Robots
In the classic movie "Bicentennial Man," Robin Williams plays Andrew, a robotic butler in a futuristic world. Is this only a sci-fi scene? Recently, Elon Musk boldly predicted that within the next 20 years, there could be around a billion humanoid robots on Earth. In recent years, many organizations have actively been working to develop robots that can step into family life!

★ OK-Robot
Researchers at New York University and Meta have developed "OK-Robot," a robot that users can instruct, such as "take the trash on the table to the trash can." OK-Robot can then find the item, plan a path, and complete the assigned task. The research team has designed a visual language model that detects objects, integrating navigation and grasping modes. In trials, the success rate reached 58.5%, nearly double previous rates, and in clean, obstacle-free environments, the task success rate reached 82%.

★ Mobile ALOHA
A Chinese research team at Stanford University created the "Mobile ALOHA," a robot capable of executing various complex tasks through imitation learning and even remotely controlled. After 50 demonstrations and cooperative training, it can independently perform everyday tasks such as cooking, washing dishes, pressing elevator buttons, wiping tables, and opening cabinets, with a success rate of up to 96%."Mobile ALOHA" can autonomously complete daily tasks, such as cooking and washing pots (Image/InceptiveMind, provided by Tokoh Living)

★ NEO Beta
Tech company 1X launched the humanoid robot "NEO Beta" in September, claiming it is designed for human households. It can care for family members, handle household chores, and even offer a friendly greeting. With AI, NEO integrates "senses" and body to understand natural language and physical space, learning more with use. However, due to its lightweight design, it has an operating time of only 2-4 hours.
