With "Basic Sciences Create Future" as its theme, the Taiwan Science Festival of this year responds to the United Nations' "International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development" by highlighting the significance of basic sciences in accomplishing the organization's 17 sustainable development goals.

Furthermore, the National Science and Technology Council's activity (台灣科普環島列車) takes place over the course of five days beginning on November 3. It is anticipated to take 12,000 schoolchildren on a fun science education trip and visit 100 scientific research locations, including national facilities.
