[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] The Ministry of Culture requested the Executive Yuan's special post-pandemic budget in order to encourage people to increase their consumption of arts and culture once the epidemic has subsided. "Cultural coming-of-age gift," which included NT$1,200 will be distributed for young people between the ages of 18 and 21. It can be used to for art and cultural events. Registration is anticipated to begin on March 29th for Youth Day.

The Ministry of Culture also took into account that three classes of 18-year-old students have not only been unable to attend high school graduation ceremonies since the epidemic's outbreak in 2019 but have also missed out on community experiences like graduation outings and off-campus teaching, as well as having to forgo opportunities for cultural activities and exchanges. As a result, the Ministry of Culture increased the distribution to young people aged 19 to 21, or roughly 900,000 people, and provided a coming-of-age gift of NT$1,200 per recipient, which could be used for attending exhibitions, performances, purchasing books, watching films, purchasing cultural and creative goods like handicrafts, etc. The start of registration is anticipated for March 29th for Youth Day.
