The New Southbound Health Center of National Taiwan University Hospital reminds the public, that if you have the health problem abroad, you can call the special line to assist the referral treatment.

According to the UDN reportage, recently the Southeast Asia is severe with the dengue fever epidemic. As of June 21, there are 174 cases from the overseas in Taiwan, where Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, and the Philippines are the main ones.

This time, when the summer vacation is approaching, people should pay attention to prevent the measures for infectious diseases before going abroad, especially because the dengue epidemics recently appears in Thailand and Singapore; while the measles outbreaks happen in Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Tsai Zhaoxun (蔡兆勳), the Director of the Family Medicine Department of National Taiwan University Hospital suggested the public, before going abroad, it will be better to check the website of the New Southbound Personnel Health Service Center or the CDC website, learn about the infectious disease epidemics and preventive measures at the destinations.

In addition, public can assess whether they want to receive Hepatitis A or measles mumps German measles mixed vaccine, to increase your own protection.
