To allow more people to get to know the beauty of Taiwan again, the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC, 交通部觀光局) agreed to let Sony Taiwan Co., Ltd. (台灣索尼股份有限公司) build a "Sony Explores the Beauty of Taiwan" (Sony探索台灣之美) website to "jointly promote Taiwan’s tourism." Several popular photographers, travel bloggers and YouTubers were invited to participate as image ambassadors to share high-quality still photos and moving videos that capture the beautiful scenery of Taiwan on the website and to share impressions on the tourist attractions and thoughts on the filming and together introduce the other faces of Taiwan.

The cooperation will also simultaneously use a dual-brand cross-industry format to co-organize the "Sony’s Beauty of Taiwan" photography competition. The event will last for one and a half months from September 17th. The participants will showcase the richness and diversity of Taiwan’s sceneries through still photos and motion videos. During the event preparations, the two parties will use mutual social media channels to advertise and promote together. The photos and videos of the winners can also be provided to the Tourism Bureau of the MOTC to promote and advertise the activities.

Chang Hsi-Tsung (張錫聰), director of the Tourism Bureau of the MOTC, said that when countries are closing their borders due to the epidemic, they hope to use a dual-brand mutual promotion strategy to increase the awareness and discussion of Taiwan tourism on the Internet, so that domestic and foreign tourists can still appreciate the beauty of Taiwan during the epidemic. Also, to encourage the Taiwan people to invite more international tourists to come to Taiwan after the opening of the borders. At the same time, we use mutual brand popularity and global channels to expand the promotion of Taiwan's tourism both domestically and abroad. We also welcome the cooperation of large international companies interested in promoting Taiwan’s tourism, so that the beauty of Taiwan can be spread to the world through various channels and make Taiwan one of the preferred tourist destinations after the epidemic.
