The Labor Affairs Bureau, Taichung City Government and Taiwan Immigrant Association (台灣新移民協會) jointly organized new immigrants’ micro-entrepreneurship training courses and cultural exchange activities, attracting more than 80 new immigrants from China, Vietnam, and Indonesia to actively participate.
A result presentation was held recently. The Labor Affairs Bureau stated that through training courses teaching “Business Registration”, “Business Loans for Startups”, and “Entrepreneurial Management”, new immigrants will be able to remain employable if they wish to make a career change.

Zhang Da Chun (張大春), the Director of the Labor Affairs Bureau, stated that the number of new immigrants in Taichung ranks fifth among all provinces and cities in Taiwan. The presence of new immigrants has promoted multiculturalism and the unique feature of society.
The new immigrant, Zheng Zhi Yan, (鄭芷雁) traveled from Vietnam to Taiwan and participated in the micro-entrepreneurship and foreign catering training course. She has received the expert & scholar guidance project on business management and business registration. The restaurant she officially opened on November 19 is named "Xiang Yue Mei Shi Liao Li (嚮越美食料理)", and this marks her achievement of successfully accomplishing her entrepreneurship goal.

The rich course content includes “Entrepreneurship and Business Planning”, “Product pricing strategies”, “Catering Procurement and Cost Control”, “Practical applications in marketing strategies”, “Media Marketing Techniques”, “Administrative Management”, “Food Safety and Sanitation”, “Equality in the workplace”, and “Labor Standards Act”.
