Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) recently announced that individuals aged 18 or older who have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine for 12 weeks are urged to get a booster dose as soon as possible. Besides, the “COVID-19 vaccination registration platform” is now open again for the public to make appointments. However, from January 31 to February 3, no vaccination services will be provided to follow the medical institution’s schedule.

Chuang Jen-hsiang (莊人祥), the spokesperson for the CECC, stated that there will be another round of vaccination registration for the booster shot before Chinese New Year. Contracted clinics and hospitals might be closed from January 31 to February 3, this is therefore no vaccination services will be provided during this period. The service will resume on February 4.

As for the setting of vaccination sites in various counties and cities during the Chinese New Year, Chuang said that it will be arranged by the local health bureaus if they want to set up vaccination stations. Those who plan to get vaccinated during the Chinese New Year can check on the website of the Health Bureau.
