According to 42 OFWs from Israel arrive in PH on Tuesday | Global News (inquirer.net), with the arrival of a sixth batch of 42 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Manila on November 7, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) anticipates that more OFWs would come home from Israel.

The DMW stated in a statement that it anticipates more returning overseas Filipino workers because the fighting between Israel's Defense Forces and Hamas does not appear to be abating in the upcoming weeks.

On November 6, according to 42 OFWs from Israel arrive in PH on Tuesday | Global News (inquirer.net), Etihad Airways flight EY 424 brought a group of 23 Filipinos—including an infant—who were deported from Israel to Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

According to the DMW, three of the returning OFWs work in hotels, and nineteen are caretakers.

The remains of Mary Grace Prodigo-Cabrera, according to 42 OFWs from Israel arrive in PH on Tuesday | Global News (inquirer.net), one of four Filipino caretakers who worked in Kibbutz Be'eri and perished during Hamas' initial strikes on October 7, have been authenticated by the Department of Migrant Workers.

As part of the sixth round of returns, Cabrera's sister Mary June Prodigo, an overseas Filipino worker in Tel Aviv as well, brought her cremated ashes back.

According to 42 OFWs from Israel arrive in PH on Tuesday | Global News (inquirer.net), with the return of these two groups this week, the total number of OFWs returned from Israel will be 184.
