The “Convention Bureau (夜景觀光)” organized by the Japan Commercial Broadcasters Association (JBA) during an international summit - World Night View in Nagasaki, Japan. After 10 years, the three new spectacular night views in the world were selected, and the world night view heritage was newly established. 10 places including the Taiwan Lantern Festival were selected.

The World Night View Summit attracted about 150 people working in the tourism industry to participate, including visitors from Japan, Taiwan, Spain, Monaco, Hungary and other 10 countries.
The organizer specially created the "World Night View Heritage" that recognized scenic spots or events with beautiful night views. In the end, the Taiwan Lantern Festival, Gellért Hill in Budapest, Hungary, and the night view of historical sites in Ayutthaya, Thailand were chosen with 7 other Japanese sites.

After the World Night View Summit, the participants were also invited to take a ride to enjoy the night view of Nagasaki. The Mayor of Nagasaki Tomohisa Tanakami (田上富久) also served as a guide to explain special features of the night view of Nagasaki.
Mayor Tomohisa Tanakami said that there are many cities with beautiful night views in the world, and he expressed his gratitude as Nagasaki is once again selected as one of the three top winning cities. “In the future, we will strive to make Nagasaki live up to the reputation of top 3 cities with beautiful night views,” the mayor says.
