NIA carries out full epidemic prevention and inspects overseas passengers

Kaohsiung City Brigade of the National Immigration Agency received the report that four missing Indonesian migrant workers were found in a house at Chien Chen Dist. Apart from investigations following regulations, reconnaissance officers have also worked hard for epidemic prevention to respond to the rise in the Wuhan pneumonia. They not only provided several medical materials such as face masks and alcohol-based sanitizers but distributed posters in Indonesian to let migrant workers understand the importance of health management and hygiene habits.


In consideration of the recent Wuhan pneumonia epidemic, the four missing Indonesian migrant workers did not dare to go out for work, so they had no choice but hid in a house. The reconnaissance officers of the NIA took those migrant workers to make a statement and reminded them of several concepts of epidemic prevention, such as wearing masks, practicing handwashing regularly, and using alcohol-based sanitizers. The officers also provided the Indonesian version of posters to patiently educate them with the concepts of epidemic prevention. Kaohsiung City Brigade of the NIA stated that " epidemic prevention is the top priority", and they would work harder for epidemic prevention and the country.


Acting Commander of Kaohsiung City Brigade, Zhang Tiantong, stated that to respond to the full-scale pneumonia prevention, they would implement the enhancement in seizing illegal overseas population and also paid more attention to the frontline reconnaissance officers health and safety, as well as the epidemic prevention to foreigners. They will continue working with the government to publicize epidemic prevention including correct self-protection measures to protect Taiwan's national security and social orders.
