New Taipei City has a population of more than 110,000 new immigrants, ranking first in the country. To provide a better living environment for migrant workers, new immigrants and their children, a policy that aims to ‘Live happily, Work happily and Learn happily’ was introduced.

In addition, new immigrants and the mayor of New Taipei City, Hou You Yi (侯友宜) were invited to shoot a promotional video together. It is hoped to create a positive atmosphere in a multicultural city.

Department of Education, New Taipei City Government stated that the new immigrants from Vietnam - Zhang Li Ying (張麗英) and Mayor Hou filmed the promotional video together, expressing the concept of ‘My New Taipei-My Home’.

In terms of further education & continuing education, New Taipei City provides multiple free online & physical lifelong learning courses for new immigrants. In recent years, it has also promoted international certification in various schools and arranged monthly international food and lunch weeks, so that students can have a taste of exotic dishes.

In addition, the Department of Education pointed out that in the future, there will be multicultural festivals, exotic food competitions, exotic markets and other activities in April each year. The city government also plans to build 3 Learning Centers and several Care Service Centers for new immigrants in each administrative district, helping new immigrants to set up associations and promoting public participation.
