After her father passed away four years ago, Jiang Ke-xin (姜可心), a second-generation immigrant in fifth grade at Yanwan Elementary School in Taitung County, was raised by her mother by herself along with her elder sister. Since the beginning of the first grade of elementary school, Jiang has been training for wrestling. Not only has she become a constant winner in wrestling competitions, but she has also won the "2023 President’s Education Award" for her great work.

The mother of Jiang Ke-xin (姜可心) is a new immigrant from Guangxi. Following her husband's death, she managed the household finances and raised her two kids by herself. Jiang and her sister were asked to join the school wrestling team by their mother so that they would be able to defend themselves. Speaking of Jiang's indomitable spirit, the coach (王紹文) recalled that when Jiang was in the lower grades, there were no female players of the same level in the school to accompany her, so she could only practice with senior students and honed her indomitable spirit in a very demanding training situation.

Jiang Ke-xin (姜可心) has won five national competition trophies, including ones in swimming, skating , etc. in addition to wrestling.

Jiang Ke-xin (姜可心) exemplifies optimism and a good outlook that come from growing up under difficult circumstances, according to the principal (李怡宏) of Yanwan Elementary School. Winning the Presidential Education Award is not only well-deserved, but it is also to the school's absolute credit. Jiang expressed her gratitude for everyone's support for helping her win this year's President’s Education Award. She also expressed her goal to one day compete for Taiwan as a national wrestler and share the spotlight with her parents.

National Immigration Agency Taitung Service Center encourages the children of new immigrants in the jurisdiction to pursue their dreams bravely, offering "New Residents and Their Children's Dream Building Project" and "New Immigrants and their Children's Development and Scholarship (Incentive) Program" every year, the director  (林明道) of the Taitung Service Center stated that NIA also encourages schools in the jurisdiction to assist outstanding new immigrants and second-generation immigrants to take advantages of NIA programs to realize their dreams.
