NIA jointly disseminate labor laws, COVID-19 epidemic prevention, and instructions for job interviews with the Bureau of Labor Affairs, Tainan City Government, to care for foreign students who are about to graduate and work in Taiwan at Chung Hwa Medical University.
According to the statistics of Chung Hwa Medical University, in July 2022, the school expects a total of 152 students from the new southbound international industry-academia partnership special class from Vietnam and Indonesia to graduate. Most of the students are willing to stay in Taiwan and contribute what they have learned. The disseminate event also prepared home-style special dishes "turmeric rice”, which moved foreign students.
Wang, Hsin-Ch(王鑫基), the director of Bureau of Labor Affairs, Tainan City Government indicated that after Mayor Huang, Wei-Jhe took office, he instructed to actively engage foreign students in schools and internship companies. In 2019, the "New Southbound Visiting and Care Service" was launched to provide new southbound international industry-academia partnership special class with services.
Sun, Yi-Ming(孫逸民), President of Chung Hwa Medical University, shared his journey of handling the new southbound international industry-academia partnership special class. According to him, the school has numerous foreign students but fortunately, Bureau of Labor Affairs, Tainan City Government and NIA took the initiative to take care of the foreign students through visiting care services. In the future, he hopes to cooperate more with the Bureau of Labor Affairs to provide more foreign students with a safe learning environment.
