[Taiwan Immigrants’ Global News Network] A female disconnected migrant worker from Indonesia went self-report to NIA Keelung Specialized Corps. But this Indonesian woman has a long-lost child in Taiwan and wants to bring her back to Indonesia.
The NIA Keelung Specialized Corps inquired about the newborn notification management system established by National Immigration Agency, and checked the data of newborns and mothers born in Taiwan through the social welfare and labor administration units of counties and cities and the National Health Administration's notification interface database. After reviewing relevant information and proactively contacting the social and administrative units, colleagues in the Specialized Corps found out that the female migrant worker’s son is now placed in a foster family by the New Taipei City Social Welfare Agency.
The Keelung Special Corps. pointed out that the Indonesian woman was pregnant while working in Taiwan, and the newborn was born prematurely but she could not afford the medical expenses. With no help, she had to leave the child in the hospital. T The Keelung Special Corps. discovered that after the child was born, the local government's social and administrative agency placed the child in a foster family. After many contacts, the mother and child were finally allowed to meet at the social welfare center.
From February 1st to June 30th, National Immigration Agency promotes “Expanded overstayers voluntary departure program," and appeals overstayers to seize the opportunity to self-report at Specialized Corps. and NIA service center and returned home as soon as possible to reunite with their families.
