The 2025 Taiwan Lantern Festival will be held from February 12 to February 23 in Taoyuan City. The festival's main visual design, created by the Bito team, features two versions: a graphic poster and an animated one. The design combines the imagery of a city viewed from an airplane with traditional lantern elements, symbolizing Taoyuan's role as Taiwan's gateway to the world and its significance as a connection to the global stage.

Taoyuan: Taiwan’s Gateway to the World

As the first stop for travelers arriving in Taiwan, Taoyuan represents the country’s gateway. Bito's main visual design for the Lantern Festival integrates the aerial view of a city from an airplane with lanterns' warm, vibrant hues. This concept embodies passengers aboard planes carrying the "wings of light" and illuminating Taoyuan’s night sky. The glowing lights not only light up the city but also evoke a sense of anticipation for the journey ahead. The main visual design for the 2025 Taiwan Lantern Festival was created by the Bito team, featuring two key posters: static and dynamic. The animated poster allows viewers to see the TAIWAN 3.0 logo on an airplane wing through a window. The wavy lines of the typography symbolize Taiwan's vision of global connectivity and the continuous surprises of a journey. The flipped airplane window cleverly transforms into a lantern, a familiar sight in Taiwan’s neighborhoods. The character "桃" (Peach), representing Taoyuan, is intricately embedded in the lantern design, referencing the region's century-old pond culture. Over 300 pieces will be displayed, utilizing diverse methods such as craftsmanship, bamboo art, interactive technology, and traditional lantern artistry.
