The National Immigration Agency (NIA) Keelung City Service Station hosted the "2021 New Immigrants Care Network Conference" at the Women and Children Welfare Service Center of Keelung City Government on August 12. 20 staff members of the private and public sectors of Keelung City participated in the conference. In the conference, there were project reports, work experience sharing, and other seminars that will enhance horizontal relationships and to integrate better care for new immigrants and their families.

During the conference, the NIA discussed the "New UI. No. Format for Foreign Nationals", "Multilingual Interpreter Database", "Common Illegal Cases of Cross-Border Marriages", and other governmental information. The Keelung City Health Bureau explained various disease prevention methods and precautions. The Quaker Shenyin Church, Keelung City Xinyi District's Wisdom Community", and the "Keelung Baptist Church" also shared their work experiences in serving the needs of new immigrants.

In the meetings, partners exchanged and discussed their ideas and experiences when facing difficulties. Through the integration of various departments, hopefully, new immigrants can receive better care and services.

Director of the NIA Keelung City Service Center Mao Chao-li 毛兆莉 stated that married new immigrants increase every year. As their needs and training capabilities are very diverse, hopefully through these online conferences with various departments and social groups, and NGOs they will receive more understanding and support.
