"The images in stamps offer a fresh and engaging story of Philippine history, culture and identity," Postmaster General Norman Fulgencio said in a statement on Saturday.

PHLPOST also released stamps featuring Diaz's fellow Olympic medalists Carlo Paalam, Nesthy Petecio, and Eumir Marcial.

The post office said the set is the second installment to its "Covid-19 Heroes stamps" series - the first being the commemorative stamps for pandemic front liners published last year.
