If you lose your national identity card during the Chinese New Year, we provide a 24-hour service for lost national identity cards. Call the ‘1990 hotline’, or manually report the loss of the national identity card online at the ‘Department of Household Registration’. After reporting the loss, if it turns out that the identity card was found before applying for a new card replacement, you can also cancel the loss report on the website or call the service center after Chinese New Year, or contact any office of the Household Registration Department to cancel the loss report.
If people need to apply for household administration related registration after the Chinese New Year, they can also use ‘Online Household Registration Service’, go to the household office at the designated time to save waiting time for on-site application.
