According to Filipino students win in UNESCO youth hackathon | Global News (inquirer.net), after emerging as one of the four victorious teams of UNESCO's Fifth Global Media and Information Literacy Youth Hackathon, a group of Filipino students is now scheduled to showcase their digital platform application in Paris, France.

In their event video presentation, the Filipino team refers to itself as AGOS, which is an acronym for "Achieving Global Oneness Through Synergy."

The "Media Information Literacy Empowerment Space," or simply "MILES," is a digital platform that AGOS proposed. Its goal is to increase media and information literacy.

A project team lead named Hermosa posted UNESCO's report from October 10 online, declaring their victory in the hackathon.

UNESCO said in a statement that the jury members were pleased with AGOS' caliber of work out of the 96 submissions it received from 40 different nations.

As part of UNESCO's Youth Forum, the team will present MILES on November 14 at the organization's headquarters in Paris, France.

Over the phone on Friday, Hermosa informed INQUIRER.net that Macapagal and Lumanog would be coming to propose their idea.
