Motorbikes, especially electric motorbikes, are a common form of mobility in Taiwan. Taiwan sold 606,699 motorcycles and electric motorcycles in total between January and September 2023, according to figures from the MOTC. Additionally, from January to June of this year, more than 80,000 motorbikes and electric motorcycles were exported worldwide, with Iraq ranking as the top export destination in the Middle East.

The Vehicle Industry Monthly (車輛工業月刊) reports that during January to June 2023, Taiwan exported 84,675 motorbikes and electric motorcycles in total. Iraq is the top exporter of Taiwanese bikes and electric motorcycles, with 22,467 units sent in the first half of the year, according to customs import and export figures. Japan and Madagascar, both with 11,869 units, are ranked second. Nigeria comes in at number five with 4,129 units, followed by the United States in fourth place with 4,306 units and the United States in third place with 10,486 units.
This assessment demonstrates the potential of Taiwanese enterprises by showing how the industry's export sales aims have changed from concentrating on ASEAN nations to progressively spreading to locations like Iraq and Africa.
