Do we often have something to say to our family, friends, and partners? However, we usually keep it in mind and feel annoyed. The National Immigration Agency (Taichung City First Service Center) invited 8 new immigrant couples to express their opinions frankly and openly, further fostering the relationship between the husband and the wife.

The National Immigration Agency (Taichung City First Service Center) invited the Supervisor of Taichung Fengyuan Women and New Immigrants Center – Chen Jun Hong (陳俊宏) to share ‘The Art of Communication’ on November 19. Students felt a bit shy at first, but they still tried to express their feelings with help from the teacher. Xiao Heng (小恆) from Vietnam says, “I rarely heard these emotional words from my husband and I hope to practice more with him in the future.”

Kuang Mei Zhi (匡美芝), a new immigrant from Thailand, was also invited to share her experience of studying and working in Taiwan. She strives to be a good wife, and at the same time, she also wants to find her own values. This is therefore she challenged herself to work as a tour guide and Thai translator. “You don’t need to be competent to start doing something, you have to start first to be competent,” she says. She also encourages new immigrants to get out of their comfort zone bravely and create a new life in Taiwan.

The Chief of the Service Center, Zhou You Ren (周佑仁), states that ‘Communication’ & ‘Support’ are the cornerstone of a happy marriage. Besides, he also mentions that at present, spouses of Taiwanese can apply to enter Taiwan for the reunion and apply for Dependent Relative. New immigrants can collect quintuple stimulus vouchers at the post office after obtaining an Alien Residence Certificate.

In addition, a reminder to all that although the pandemic situation has stabilized in Taiwan, individuals must still pay attention to the epidemic prevention measures while traveling, so as to stay healthy and create economic recovery and growth together.
