Eid al-Fitr, Taipei Government Invites the New Residents and Migrant Workers to Enjoy the Celebration in Daan Forest Park

The annual Taipei Eid al-Fitr and Muslim Carnival celebration this year will be held on June 9, at Daan Forest Park in Taipei. Last year, it attracted more than 40.000 Muslim friends and public to participate enthusiastically. It becomes one of the symbols for Taipei’s diversity as the open city.

This year, Taipei Mayor, Ke Wenzhe (柯文哲) continues to support Eid al-Fitr activities, and served again as the protagonist in the promotional video, promotes the Eid al-Fitr with many Muslim friends, invites all friends in local and abroad to participate in this grand event.

The Director of Tourism and Communication Bureau, Liu Yiting (劉奕霆) said that Taipei Eid al-Fitr and Muslim Carnival is one of the important projects in the friendly policy. It is not only to convey the goodwill for the Muslim friends around the world, but also allows the people of Taipei and Taiwan to understand about the Muslim culture.

This year’s event is also rich of contents and interesting. There will be the “World’s Muslim Market” that collects the Tunisia, Moroccan creative objects, Turkish dried fruits, Indian spices, Iranian desserts, and other national specialties. There will be “handmade cultural experience” too with the Arabic calligraphy that will be fun, mosaic collage, Muslim headscarf, Turkish floating paint, Brilliant Time Southeast Asia Theme Bookstore, and henna painting.

“TED Talks Muslim” cooperates with the Brilliant Time Bookstore inviting the honorable guest whom got the Golden Bell, Wu Feng (吳鳳), Indonesia second generation youth standing person Kimyung, Afghanistan international volunteer Lin Baixun (林柏勛), and the drummer Ma Junren (馬儁人). 4 of them are the Muslim experts, from Turkey to Afghanistan, willing to talk about Middle Eastern music to Muslim wedding. People who want to learn more about Muslim culture should not miss this rare opportunity.
