Taking into consideration the current pandemic situation and the need of manpower in Taiwan, the Taiwan government allows the entry of foreign workers from November 11, with epidemic prevention measures implemented.
Furthermore, Indonesia's holistic preparations for epidemic prevention and its commitment to strictly supervise the implementation of epidemic prevention measures by foreign agencies, the Taiwanese government agreed to open the border to the first batch of Indonesian migrant workers.
In addition, to alleviate the burden on both employers and employees, and together with the urgent needs, the validity of the Indonesian migrant workers’ visas that have expired before May 4 this year will be automatically extended to May 31, 2022.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' foreign embassies will immediately follow the ‘Introduction Plan of the Ministry of Labor for the migrant workers & Strict Border Control Measures in Response to COVID-19’. The visa applications for Indonesian migrant workers are open now.

The relevant documents, order, vaccinations, PCR tests and quarantine & isolation measures after entering Taiwan would be all handled in accordance with the planning of the CECC.
For applications for migrant worker’s visas of other nationalities besides Indonesia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will follow the announcement of CECC for the subsequent measures.
