New immigrants can register for the “New Immigrant Children and Aboriginals Multicultural Counseling” beginning July 26

The K-12 Administration, Ministry of Education (K12EA, MOE) is launching the "New Immigrant Children and Aboriginals Multicultural Counseling" in September and October of 2021 to cultivate cross-cultural awareness in counseling work. Due to the epidemic, online seminars will be divided into 6 sessions.

The program is scheduled to start on September 17. Teachers from all over Taiwan are welcome to register online from July 26 to August 20.

The online seminar will include special lectures, group discussions, experience sharing, and more. Through this series of courses, teachers will learn about practical experience sharing and enhance their multicultural knowledge.

For this year 2021, the themes will include "Teacher's Self Awareness", "Cross-Cultural Student Relations", "Cultural Information and Helpful Skills", and more. Life coaches will be present to share their experiences in accompanying children and integrating cultural diversity in learning curriculums.

The K12EA MOE stated that multi-ethnic groups are a huge part of Taiwan's social development. By encouraging cultural diversity and creating a diverse learning atmosphere, students can also become more competitive.
