Coverage shows that Taisugar has issued the limitation for 95 percent alcohol buyers since April 20.  75 percent version in 350 ml bottles is people's livelihood materials that remain NT$45 each, Taisugar emphasized. Purchase channels also remain.

Objects buying of bulk alcohol products and alcohol for people's livelihood use are different, Taisugar clarifies. The supply of 95 percent bulk alcohol is restricted in response to the demand for epidemic prevention that reflects on the cost and the amount. However, the restriction of 95 percent alcohol buying won't affect 75 percent version's price and supply.

Taisugar states that as the COVID-19 continues to spread, the purchasing cost of raw materials for alcohol production has increased by about 30%, absorbed by Taisugar itself. As a result, the price of 75 percent version in 350 ml bottles remains. Additionally, due to the increase of new sources imported, the amount of 75 percent alcohol has also increased, available in Carrefour, RT-MART, Chuan Lian Enterprise Co., Ltd., Family Mart, 7-11, and Hi-Life, so there's no need for panic buying. Taisugar also reminds the public that the use of 75 percent alcohol can achieve the effect of thorough cleaning and exhorted people to buy just enough for their own needs and not hoard the product. People under 18 are not allowed to purchase.
