In collaboration with Welcome Holiday Travel Service Co., Ltd. of Kaohsiung City the Chiayi County Government extended an invitation to over ten Filipino travel agency operators to form a tour group and visit the tourism attractions of the Alishan Mountains. The Chiayi County Government hopes that business operators can promote Chiayi County tourism after returning to the Philippines.

In order to better understand the needs of tourism operators through on-site inspections of attractions and restaurants, the Chiayi County Cultural and Tourism Bureau announced that it had this time invited 18 Philippine travel agency operators, 1 Philippine AirAsia operator, and 2 personnel from the Kuala Lumpur Office of the Tourism Administration, MOTC to come to Taiwan. This information will be used as a reference for future planning and design of itineraries to meet the demands of the international market.

According to the Chiayi County Cultural and Tourism Bureau, Alishan in Chiayi County is unquestionably among Taiwan's top 10 must-see sights. It has routes through forests, tea plantations, mountains, and dawn clouds. It intends to draw in more foreign visitors by planning a hiking excursion. Travelers are drawn to Chiayi's natural and ecological attractiveness, which is reviving Alishan's tourist sector.
