Houtong Ruifang Mining Coal Preparation Plant invites everyone to embark on an adventure filled with knowledge and fun during the summer vacation. This summer, the plant is launching the "Carbon Adventure Challenge," transforming into a "Carbon Adventure Area," where visitors can find hidden codes in the exhibition and learn valuable mining knowledge. Participants who complete the challenge can receive an exclusive limited-edition postcard from the Ruifang Mining Coal Preparation Plant.
Yang Zongmin, Director of the New Taipei City Tourism and Travel Department, stated that the Ruifang Mining Coal Preparation Plant, with a century-long history, has attracted nearly 500,000 visitors since its restoration and reopening last year, making it a popular tourist hotspot in the Northeast Coast area. The plant is currently undergoing its second phase of restoration, planning to restore and revitalize the surrounding outdoor areas and machinery relics, allowing visitors to relive the peak of Houtong's mining era.
The "Carbon Adventure Challenge" will take place from August 1 to August 31, inviting parents and children to explore the hidden codes in the exhibition. Participants can collect a learning sheet at the service desk and find hidden QR codes within the exhibition. By scanning the codes with their phones, they can acquire related knowledge.
