A Japanese tourist, Mrs. Dao Tien, and her daughter came to Taiwan for a tour with a group. On Jan. 29 in 2020, Mrs. Dao Tien's daughter accidentally got lost in the evening at the Shilin Night Market; however, the tour bus had left at the time, she had no choice but asked for help from the Foreign Affairs Service Station of the Foreign Affairs Division, Taipei City Police Department (hereinafter the "Service Center"). With the comfort and the translation of Sergeant Xu Zhaoming and Policeman Zhang Jianxing, she told them the name of the hotel that she would stay. But she couldn't remember the contact information of the group members, and her mother's mobile phone didn't have Internet access. Hence, the policemen could only ask Mrs. Dao Tien's daughter to return to the hotel for further news.
Later, a policeman from the Wenlin Police Station of the Shilin Precinct reported the Service Center that a Japanese on the Jihe Rd. told them she got lost. Sergeant Yang Jinzhang, who was on duty on that day, determined that woman was Mrs. Dao Tien, who got separated from her daughter and immediately asked the policeman of the Wenlin Police Station of the Shilin Precinct to drive Mrs. Dao Tien to the Service Center. After inquiring, Policeman Xie Zonglun and Chen Wanyi determined the woman was Mrs. Dao Tien. Due to the recent cold currents, the temperature that has been low in the evening in Taipei, and considering that Mrs. Dao Tien was elder, Policeman Li Zhengyan of the Foreign Affairs drove Mrs. Dao Tien to the hotel in Zhongzheng Dist. to let her get together with her daughter.
Mrs. Dao Tien expressed her great gratitude to those policemen and stated that Taiwan has a good social order. She felt relieved during the period and also impressed by Taiwanese policemen's diligence and warmth.
